New Web Site

As you can see, we have a new web site!  There are a lot of things that are not yet working.  Some that I can think of off the top of my head:

 

  1. Photo Gallery  The gallery now works but I am still working on its appearance
  2. Download repository, including newsletters  Newsletters are now online under "Downloads" "Newsletters" but not pretty.  Still working on it.
  3. Web links

Please be patient.  I will get those features working as soon as possible.  For those of you who had user accounts on the old web site, I've migrated your account over to this new site.  I have no way of reading your password so I have to trust that the new site software knows how to use the same authentication mechanism to log you in.  If you have trouble logging in, please let me know.

It would be immensely helpful if you would visit the "My account" link on the left and update your profile.  After some reasonable period, I plan to clean up the user accounts (in other words, delete the ones I can't identify).

Would it be possible to clean up the assignments module so that the assignment for the current month is first and maybe add the presentation date to the month so that new folks know when honors night is???  Right now there's data from last year at the top. It would be nice to see what the upcoming assignment is for the current month instead of having to go all the way to the bottom for it and have a visual reminder of when an honors assignment is due since most people don't always think in terms of what Tuesday of the Month it is.

Hi Paula,

Didn't see you comment until now.  Unfortunately, if we add another column for the presentation date, the module will get too wide. I did change them up a little, so that the unexpired items are brighter and the expired items are dim and have a strike (although it's not automatic). It is nice to have a history available; however, I will think about whether it would be better to remove the assignments once they are passed.  I will also see if I can figure out a good way to work the presentation date in.
