On Tuesday August 25, 2009 our program will consist of two pieces. First, we will feature member "Golds" achieved within the last year (not just this year, but back to August of 2008). We don't get much time to ask the photographers about their photos after we announce the awards as we choose to take everything down and put it away immediately. This will be an opportunity to do that.
All members "please bring your "Gold" photos from the last year and we will set them around the room for people to view". The photographers will make themselves available to answer questions after everyone has had a chance to look at them. The person wanting to know more about a certain photo will identify the photo to the group and the photographer will respond to questions from the membership or describe what they wanted to do with the photo and how they achieved it.
The second part of the program will allow an opportunity for all members to present a photo or photos they are currently working on. You can print out a photo or bring a USB key or CD with the photo. We will have the easel set up for displaying your photo while you briefly talk about it. We will also have the projector available and set up. You can ask the membership for open feedback such as: how well they think what you are trying to do works for them and whether they have any suggestions for you to help achieve the final product.
Depending on the number of photos we receive we may have to limit time for each photo. We will determine that after everyone gets there on Tuesday night. Please do not leave your print(s) at home thinking there will be too many. If this is popular we can always follow up later with another one of these.
There will be snacks and soft drinks provided. The meeting is held at TAACCL and opens at 7:00pm.
