Peter Janecke Photos Accepted
I was doing what a good part-time webmaster does, which is troll for news on our members to post on the website. I guess I get a kick out of seeing our members do well in other venues and endeavors they undertake outside of our normal club functions. I firmly believe that is how you grow as a photographer.
I consider the club environment as a springboard to bigger and better things. It gives you a basis to develop your skills and to also fellowship with like minded people, people who enjoy photography as a craft or just for viewing. I guess that's why I enjoy volunteering my time to the club and everyone in it.
Part of that involves time looking at everyones blogs and websites on a daily basis. I'm looking for interesting stories and events in our member's lives that involve their photography.
That long introduction brings me to Peter Janecke, a long time member. Peter stays pretty low key about his photography. He's not into thumping his chest to show everyone what he has done or how many awards he has garnered outside of the club. That kind of leaves me to my own devices, hence perusing the member blogs and websites.
Peter has three images that have been accepted into the Galveston Art League, Summer Juried Exhibition, 2009. The exhibition runs June 27 to July 27, 2009 at 2117A Postoffice Street, Galveston. I have posted his images below so you can link to them for a better view.

Congratulations to Peter for his acceptances!
