On Tuesday May 26, 2009 our program will cover all phases of our club. We have numerous new members who don't really understand the many functions of the club and what is really available to help them within the club environment. We have some not so new members who don't understand the judging process and some of the other features of the club.
You might be thinking that you are an experienced member, or have a good grasp of what the club does and don't need to come. You would be wrong following that logic. You are exactly the people we need at the meeting. You may be the only person who can answer some of the questions that will be brought up during our Q&A session.
You may be a judge and we will need your input. Gerard Vacca will explain what a judge is looking for when they critique a photo on Honors Night. I will provide some photos to be critiqued by Gerard for the benefit of the membership.
We will discuss the Mentor program; what it was and what we need to do in order to provide that level of support to our newer members. We will talk about having a "buddy" on the field trips. We will also take this as an opportunity to introduce the officers and what their duties are within the club.
We are expecting a good showing of members and officers so we get the most out of this night. We feel you will find it informative and very helpful, even if you have been around for some years.
We will also spend some time getting to know each other a little better. There will be snacks and soft drinks provided. The meeting is held at TAACCL and opens at 7:00pm.
